En Condenado Fanzine siempre estamos con un oído puesto en lo que sucede en la escena musical del Reino Unido y, aunque el hardcore no suele recibir el foco principal en este blog, en el pasado ya hemos cubierto la llamada New Wave of British Hardcore en nuestro podcast de Radio Condenado, y hace unas semanas estuvimos viendo a una de sus grandes esperanzas: High Vis.

Una de las últimas bandas en emerger es Last Hounds, grupo procedente de Birmingham que practica un hardcore modernillo con un apreciable toque de metal de principios del siglo XXI.

La formación de East Midlands, a través del sello Venn Records, ha lanzado en junio un EP, titulado ‘Growing Pains‘. El lanzamiento incluye cinco canciones, cuatro que previamente habían visto la luz en formato digital y un nuevo corte: «Low«, del que han estrenado este vídeo.

Last Hounds: New single and video

At Condenado Fanzine we’re always keeping an ear out for what’s happening in the UK music scene. Hardcore might not usually be our main focus here, but we’ve covered the so-called New Wave of British Hardcore before on our Radio Condenado podcast, and just a few weeks ago we went to see one of its brightest hopes: High Vis.

One of the latest bands to break through is Last Hounds, hailing from Birmingham and delivering a modern take on hardcore with a clear early-2000s metal flavour.

Based in the East Midlands, the band released an EP called ‘Growing Pains‘ in June via Venn Records. It features five tracks—four previously released as digital singles plus a new one, “Low”, which they’ve just put out with this video.
