Una de las escenas que tenemos monitorizada en Condenado Fanzine es la francesa. Hace unos días que estamos escuchando la que es la primera referencia de Patient Zero. Esta banda procede de Tours, pero destila un sonido característico de Brest o Lille, es decir, punk con esas influencias oscuras y sonido frío y melancólico con letras en francés. Si te gustan bandas como Syndrome 81, Litovsk o Prisonnier Du Temps, echa una escucha a las cinco canciones incluidas en ‘Souvenir Noir‘ de Patient Zero, que acaba de lanzarse en casete por el sello Dirty Slap Records.

Give Patient Zero a Listen

One of the scenes we keep a close eye on at Condenado Fanzine is the French punk scene. Lately we’ve been checking out the debut release from Patient Zero. The band is from Tours, but their sound is very much in line with what you’d expect from Brest or Lille—punk with dark undertones and that cold, melancholic edge, with lyrics in French.

If you’re into bands like Syndrome 81, Litovsk or Prisonnier Du Temps, you’ll want to give the five tracks on ‘Souvenir Noir’ a listen. The release just dropped on cassette via Dirty Slap Records.

Interestingly, Jacky Cadiou—who you might know from Syndrome 81 or Prisonnier Du Temps—handled the recording and mixing for these five songs, with mastering by Will Killingsworth at Dead Air Studios.
